At Stationery Direct we offer a professional and cost effective in-house design service for all of our print products, if you do not have print ready artwork and would like us to design something eye catching for your business, then you have come to the right place. Take the time to view our print and design portfolio which shows a small selection of artwork that we have designed and/or printed.

The fee for design will depend on the product in question, please navigate to the print product of your choice using the links displayed at the left hand side of any page, select your product and click "View Prices". A pricing table will be displayed, if we offer a set design fee for your chosen print product then the price and option to add this to your order will be displayed at the bottom of the pricing table.

If the print product in question does not have the option to purchase design at a set fee, then this is because we need to know some further information, in this instance please get in touch with your design requirements via our custom quote form and we will be in touch.

What do I need to provide?

In order for us to design your artwork ready for print, you will need to provide a detailed design brief explaining exactly what you need including any specific design requirements (if any), such as preferred fonts or colours. You will also need to provide all text/copy that you wish to have displayed on your artwork in the form of a word document, e-mail or similar. We will also need your logo (if you have one) and any photographs/images that you wish to have displayed, these must all be supplied in high resolution (minimum of 300dpi), if you have your logo in vector format then this is even better, vector files usually end in .ai or .eps. If you have no ideas as to what you require and need some guidance then don't worry, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

What is 300dpi?

300dpi (300 dots per inch) is the resolution that a design/image has been created or scanned at. When providing photographs and scanned images, please ensure that photographs have been taken at the highest setting possible on a quality digital camera and that scanned images have been scanned at a minimum of 300dpi. I have no photographs/images to supply, can you help?

Of course, we have access to a database with over 1,000,000 royalty free photographs/images that we can use in your design, all photographs/images will be of high resolution and perfect for print. Typically prices are in the region of £1-£5 per photograph/image depending on the time taken to source them and the photograph/image required, this cost is in addition to our set design fees. All photographs/images will be shown to the customer for approval prior to purchase or use in any artwork.

I already have my design in a word document, do I still have to pay for design?

Yes, artwork created in any Microsoft program such as Word cannot be printed on a professional printing press, this will be the same response from all professional printers, however, we can get your artwork print ready and this service is covered by our set design fee.
