ACCEPTED FILE TYPES?

What file types do you accept?

We accept PDF, PSD, TIFF, JPEG, AI, EPS files and artwork created in any of the professional design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw.

Artwork created in any Microsoft program such as Word cannot be used, this will be the same response from all professional printers, however, it may still be possible to get your artwork print ready so get in touch.

Which file types provide the best possible print?

As long as the artwork has been created in CMYK format at a minimum of 300dpi and no compression has been used when saving, then all of the above file types will give a high quality print. However, If your software has the option to save as a "Press Quality" PDF file (Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Illustrator CS2 and above) then we recommend this file type.

How do I save as a "Press Quality" PDF file?

The option to save as a "Press Quality" PDF file is only available in Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Illustrator CS2 and above:

Adobe Photoshop:

While working on your document always save it as a PSD file with all image and text layers preserved, DO NOT flatten your artwork prior to saving. When you are ready to output as a "Press Quality" PDF file, select "Save As" then "Photoshop PDF", when presented with the "Adobe PDF Preset" options simply choose "Press Quality". Proceed to the section entitled "Compression", ensure that the compression box is set to "None" and save your file.

Adobe Illustrator:

When you are ready to output from AI format to a "Press Quality" PDF file, select "Save As" then "Adobe PDF", when presented with the "Adobe PDF Preset" options simply choose "Press Quality". Proceed to the section entitled "Compression", ensure that all compression boxes are set to "None" and save your file.
